Galleria Tonelli was founded by Lodovico Tonelli, in the historical center of Milan, in 1981, guided by a strong passion for modern and contemporary art. His vocation, in addition to that of creating a personal relationship with artists and clients, has always been that of dealing with established artists on the market: of whom he has organized exhibitions and been able to enhance some works in a visionary way. Following in his father's footsteps, his two sons, Ciro and Luigi, joined him in running the gallery. Together they have opened a new exhibition space near the historic headquarters, which welcomes group and personal exhibitions of the greatest artists of the Italian 20th century and aims to become a meeting point for Milanese cultural circles. In 2016 they also opened a space in Porto Cervo, which has a more contemporary edge and has proved to be essential for reaching an international audience
